Invited to participate in a themed gallery show focusing on food and cuisine - Essendelikatessen - I chose to highlight the influence of technology and industrialisation on the food chain, accentuating the processes of mass-production in the food industry. To this end, a traditional German bread roll, or Brötchen, was mounted on the stem of a wine glass, sprinkled with individual technoglyphs like multigrains to resemble a Mehrkornbrötchen, and then cast in bronze, creating a religious relic and reliquary in one with the title The Last Supper.
